Flooding in Cremorne as water outages hit across the North Shore

Sydney Water currently has no timeline on when water supply will be restored to the lower North Shore, after widespread outages and flooding.

What happened: Residents and businesses from Mosman up to Lindfield are experiencing water outages this morning, after a main burst in Cremorne and flooded nearby streets.

• Imagery provided to the Lorikeet suggests a water main burst on Grasmere Road, between Young Street and Bennelong Lane. Crews are currently on site.

Official response: A spokesperson for Sydney Water said in a statement “up to 20,000 properties may be experiencing low water pressure while repairs are underway”. 

They could not advise the Lorikeet when residents could expect water supply to be restored.
