Leeser moves from Attorney General to Education in Coalition shadow cabinet shake-up
Prior to taking the seat of Berowra, the senior Liberal worked as a Director of Government Policy and Strategy at the Australian Catholic University.

Berowra MP Julian Leeser will be vacating his position as Shadow Attorney-General, taking on the position of Shadow Minister for Education and Early Learning following a reshuffle of the shadow cabinet announced on Monday.
Andrew Wallace, MP for Fisher (Qld), will take on Leeser’s previous position, and Leeser will continue his role as Shadow Minister for the Arts.
In a statement, Leeser spoke to his previous experience working in the university sector, saying he would “bring practical experience to this position and will focus on evidence-based reforms that lift standards from early learning, through to schools and into tertiary education”.
The redesignation of cabinet positions comes following the expulsion of Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price and resignation of Andrew Hastie from the cabinet.
