“Match words with action”: Nicolette Boele pushes for sanctions on Israel
The new MP made the statement less than an hour after PM Anthony Albanese vowed to support recognition of a Palestinian state.

Bradfield MP Nicolette Boele has called on the Australian government to “match words with action” and impose targeted sanctions on the Israeli government.
The statement came less than an hour after Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced the intention of his government to recognise the state of Palestine at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York next month.
In a statement, Boele also called upon Australia to “cease any roles it has” in the “supply chain for Israel’s arms, weapons and components".
