McDonald's is trying to get a foothold in Crows Nest

After receiving tips from in-the-know retail denizens of the suburb, the North Shore Lorikeet asked North Sydney Council if the rumours that Hamburglar was trying to get a foothold in Crows Nest were true.

A council spokesperson said that, yes, "A development application has been submitted to Council for processing".

They said it was the first application for a McDonald's in Crows Nest. The location of the proposed site and its size and opening hours are unknown. It is also unclear if the development application is on behalf of McDonald's head office or a franchisee.

The nearest McDonald's to Crows Nest is in St Leonards, less than a kilometer from Crows Nest’s main street.
