Family friendly events on the North Shore this November
There will be fairs, carnivals and festivity a plenty this month.

Middle Harbour Carnival
There will be jumping castles, and carnival and pony rides, at the annual Middle Harbour Public School Carnival. Entry is free but ride costs vary.

St Ives North Public School Festive Fair
Stalls, rides, bake sales and more at this St Ives fair. A good chance to get a jump start on your Christmas shopping.

Nature Play - Animal rescue
As the latest installment in Ku-ring-gai council's Nature Play series, this children's program teaches kids how to care for and rescue local fauna on the upper North Shore. Suited for children aged four to six. Tickets $20.

Want to be a citizen scientist?
Join this talk at Willoughby City Library to learn about what being a citizen scientist means. Hosted by local author Harry Rosenthal, a diver with a passion for underwater photography and marine biology. The library will also use the session to show its new borrowable citizen science kits. Recommended for children aged seven and over.

Glenaeon Family Fair 2025
This school fair at Glenaeon Rudolf Steiner School includes artisan markets, student jazz bands and a silent auction.

Arcadian Artists Art Trail
Explore the works of local artists across pop-up galleries in Arcadia, Galston and Dural.

Native snail talk
Did you know that Australia is home to more than 1,000 species of native snails?
Despite this, the vast majority of snails we find in our gardens are not among them: they are introduced species.
To learn more about native snails on the North Shore, come along to this free talk with Dr Isabel Hyman, a research scientist at the Australian Museum.

Gumnut Fair
Were you a fan of our video about May Gibbs’ Nutcote Cafe? This month, a Gumnut Fair will be hosted by the cafe, featuring homemade cakes, garden stalls, prize wheels and face painting. Dress in your best 1920s attire.
