The best vegan restaurants in the North Shore
We hear that it can be difficult to find good vegan and vegetarian food in the North Shore. Here's a guide for some vego options around the north that we rate.

The other week, I wrote an article about reasonably priced fine dining options in the North Shore.
A reader reached out to us saying that, while they enjoyed the article, they always struggle to find vegan and vegetarian options at restaurants around the North Shore.
So I figured I'd put a little list together of some places that serve vegan and vegetarian food to a little bit higher of a standard than the usual salad option.
If I missed anywhere, just send an email: [email protected]
Green Sprouts Vegan Restaurant
Just along Military Road you can find Green Sprouts Vegan Restaurant, which has a plant-based menu serving “chinese dishes with a vegan twist”. Recommended dishes include vegan Peking duck, truffle fried rice, claypot tofu, and spinach salad.
Frankly I’m really not too sure how you make prawns or duck vegan, but I’m certainly interested to find out.
Where: 166-174 Military Rd, Neutral Bay

Annatta
If you're not too big of a meat-eater but still keen on fine dining, we’d recommend Annatta, sitting along Willoughby Road.

Green Gourmet
Many were very sad to see Green Gourmet — which had been operating for over 27 years — close it’s doors along the Pacific Highway earlier this year. Good news though: the beloved vegan restaurant has reopened as a takeaway spot in Lane Cove! The new location also sells it’s dumplings frozen to be cooked at home, and does catering.
