Willoughby only North Shore Council to be spared waste fee spike
Lane Cove LGA residents will be hit with a 13.6 percent increase.

Moving into the new financial year, almost every North Shore council is raising waste collection fees, according to draft operational plans for the 2025-2026 financial year.
North Sydney, Mosman, Lane Cove, Ku-ring-gai, Hornsby and Ryde councils will increase rubbish fees by varying amounts.
Residents within the boundary of Willoughby City Council will be spared a hike.
Those hit hardest by the fee hike will be Lane Cove residents, whose rubbish collection fee will rise from $560.90 to $637.65 This is an increase of $76.75, or 13.6 percent.
As part of draft proposals, the new pricing is yet to be adopted by councils. According to the Local Government Act 1993 all councils must adopt their annual operational plan by June 30.
