Morning everyone,
It was a good weekend for football players across the North Shore. On Sunday, both Lindfield FC and Mosman FC won the Football NSW Champion of Champions tournament, in the All Age Womenâs and Menâs divisions respectively.
Stealing the show of course was Lindfield FC, whose four finalist teams â U/15 Girls, U/18 Womenâs, U/21 Womenâs, and All Age Womenâs squads â all took home gold.
To turn from sports to weather, weâre in for a hot one today, so make sure to apply sunscreen and wear a hat if youâre heading out, and note that the Greater Sydney Region is under a total fire ban.

đïž Never terrace apart: Neutral Bay locals push to save 117-year-old cottages
What is historic, and what is just plain old?
That is the question North Sydney Council is grappling with, as it decides whether to put a stop to the demolition of six cottages in Neutral Bay.
During a meeting last week, councillors resolved to stand in solidarity with locals who are fighting to preserve a row of six Federation cottages on Bydown Street.

đ„ Northern Beaches Hospital to transition to public ownership
The operator of Northern Beaches Hospital - Healthscope - will be paid $190 million of taxpayer money to facilitate the transfer of the medical centre to state ownership.
Premier Chris Minns said on Tuesday the embattled hospital would move to direct control by the state by mid-2026.
